Baked Chicken Breasts

  • Chicken breast
  • Avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Chili powder
  • Onion powder
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Rub butter onto the bottom of the glass baking dish.
  3. Pound chicken to an even thickness – Place chicken between two pieces of parchment paper or in a sealed plastic bag and lightly pound.
  4. Rub avocado oil onto the chicken breast.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder and onion powder.
  6. Place in the greased glass baking dish.
  7. Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes.
    • 5-6 ounce breasts:  13-16 minutes
    • 8 ounce breasts: 16-19 minutes
    • 11-12 ounce breasts: 22-26 minutes
  8. Use a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the meat. When it reads 165 degrees, remove it from the oven and tent with foil to allow the chicken time to rest.
  9. After 10 minutes of resting, slice the chicken breasts against the grain.
