Grandma Bonomo’s Potato Salad
- ½ C. vinegar
- ½ C. sugar
- 1 small onion or use dry onion flakes
- 3 or 4 teaspoons of water
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 8 medium potatoes
- Small amounts for layering:
- Oilive oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Powdered garlic
- Powdered onion
- Bring vinegar, sugar, water and onion to a boil and then cool.
- Blend with 2 Cups mayonnaise set aside.
- Slice all potatoes thin and then cook in boiling water until tender.
- Layer cooked potatoes with oil, salt, powdered garlic, powdered onion, black pepper and mayo mixture in a sealed bowled (Tupperware).
- Place in refridgerator and and then turn it upside down every few hours that way the mayo mixture is able to soak into all the potatoes.
Best if made the day before.
